At Forerunner we pride ourselves on providing fresh, nutritional and tasty meals. Our meals are not cooked in bulk or frozen – but made in a local kitchen using fresh produce by our trained chefs. This helps to ensure that your loved ones are getting what they want – which means that they look forward eating their meals. This helps to provide a balanced diet – special diets can also be catered for.

Security
At Forerunner we put the welfare and safety of your loved ones first. Our drivers are all retired members of the local community and many of them have been delivering hot meals to customers for years. Every driver is police checked and wears the distinctive red Forerunner uniform that is easily identified when the door bell rings.

Safety
Having one of our friendly drivers visiting each day is reassuring for our customers and their families. Our drivers are often first on the scene to help with a variety of incidents and accidents. We will always notify a next of kin or carer should we have any concerns about a customer. Over the years we have called ambulances and have helped many customers out of difficult situations.

Conversation
Often the only interaction your loved one might experience during the day is our meal delivery. Our drivers make sure they engage with every customer in the short time they are with them. They can make sure the meal is put on the table with the right cutlery should you wish. Drivers also have
the same routes each day, so a friendly regular face appears at the door.

Community
At Forerunner we take our role of serving the elderly community seriously. We aim to get involved with the community and to give something back. We work closely with support groups, care organisations and professional carers to ensure we know what is happening in the community and share this with our customers.
