Forerunner has been providing meals on wheels to the local community in Bournemouth for over 12 years. We work closely with local suppliers, partners, charities, support organisations and professional carers to ensure that we really can offer ‘more than just a meal’. At Forerunner we are not simply serving the community, but also taking an active part in it.

Fresh lunches, prepared on the day, every day and delivered hot to your door
Our menu changes every month and offers fresh traditional home cooked meals made with fresh seasonal ingredients. Meals are freshly prepared that morning by our very own trained chefs in our local kitchens and delivered hot to the door at lunch time - they are not mass produced and then delivered frozen.

Regular, friendly drivers who help us offer you more than just a meal every day
Every member of staff takes pride in delivering a reliable meal service to the local community. Our drivers are retired local people who enjoy developing friendships with our customers and take an interest in their welfare. Our drivers will help customers out of difficult situations or call for assistance – we always promptly notify a next of kin or carer.

Declan O’Toole has a strong history in the

catering business having worked as a top level chef around the world for ten years. His wife Michaela has worked as an occupational therapist for older people for ten years. The catering team is headed by Wilf Beckitt, who has 30 years catering experience. Wilf has always lived locally and came to Forerunner for a new challenge. Wilf is supported by a team of trained chefs and cooking staff, who together produce fresh food every of the week.
